You can come to our show and lose your mind because it’s OK. Cowboy Mouth is your rock and roll safe place. No one is as crazy as the guy playing drums onstage. - Fred
It's the Ed and Fred show!
Ed Robertson of the Barenaked Ladies was in New Orleans last week attending a party thrown by our old friend Mike Perry at the world-famous PinChurch (An old converted church filled with nothing but refurbished pinball machines and a relaxed vibe) and decided to jam with Fred. Although they alternated instruments (Ed is a pretty good drummer himself), the crux of the evening's entertainment featured Ed on guitar and Fred on drums, playing a vast array of songs from BNL's "Pinch Me" & "It's All Been Done" to such classics as "Summer Of 69." A good time was had by all! Cowboy Mouth concerts are a lot of fun as a musician because of that unexpected aspect where we can take a right turn or a left turn or go off a cliff sometimes. You never know. - Matt

Hey Ya'll! Wanted to let everyone know that John and Fred are available for acoustic home/private shows, either together or individually. These shows consist of John and/or Fred singing and playing acoustic guitars in a more intimate setting than a CM show, like someone's living room or a small party. In addition to hearing the songs you know and love in a unique setting, John and Fred have been known for dipping into their vast song catalog, pulling out "deep cuts" and rare musical chestnuts from their long and varied careers - so if you're a diehard Cowboy Mouth fan, this is for you! These events are private, low profile, and non-publicized affairs and can be booked in conjunction to certain CM shows, but not all. Of course, if you want to book one of these away from a Cowboy Mouth gig in your neck of the woods, that would be great too! Feel free to reach out to either John@cowboymouth.com or Fred@cowboymouth.com for more details and availability. These things have been known to be a lot of fun. Look forward to hearing from ya'll! Don't miss out on The Funky Biscuit 7-year anniversary party with yours truly performing TWO NIGHTS, Friday & Saturday July 27 & 28. Limited tickets still available at funkybiscuit.com
Everything you’re looking for is really on the inside, and it’s up to you to bring it out of yourself. That’s where the real gems are. - Fred
Listen to the new Bands To Fans podcast interview with Fred!
"We discussed the influence of his home city of New Orleans on their music, where his resilience comes from, and his ethos that a Cowboy Mouth show won’t solve your problems but it will make you feel damn good as you dance all over them." |
