Video of last year's Christmas show

11/22/2021

Fred: Hey y’all! This is a Christmas show I did online last year in New Orleans. It’s actually really well shot and mixed by Mike Mayeux and the CWW staff. If you haven't seen it, I thought y’all might enjoy it. I had a great time doing it down at the old New Orleans haunt Chickie Wah Wah! And also, Dec & Jan are pretty open for CM if anyone wants to host JTG & me…just sayin’…Enjoy!!

A great run through Texas

11/8/2021

Fred: Wow! What a great run through Texas, the home state of JTG and the new home of Frankie G! All three shows were a blast, with both Austin and Houston selling out in advance! Holy moly! Thanks to everyone for making it out and having such a great time, especially thanks for our buddy Skip Bishop (the man who made “Jenny Says” happen at radio all those years ago) for coming to the Heights! Also, thanks to the LVVRS  (great band from Lafayette, LA) for doing a lot of shows on this run with us. We got a lot of great compliments on those guys and were glad to have them. Looking very forward to hitting the midwest in a couple of weeks, especially for the make up date in St. Louis! Remember, Fred, no gumbo in the Dallas airport…

I noticed that people have been asking about Matt Jones and where he is these days. Matt decided during lockdown to focus more on his professional sound career as well as family, and he has also rejoined his old band Jimmy’s Chicken Shack, of whom everyone in Cowboy Mouth are huge fans. Seriously, go check them out when you get a chance. They are a great band and Jimmy is one of the best front men in the business! Anyway, Matt will still be playing shows with us from time to time so don’t worry, he’s still very much a part of the Cowboy Mouth family. In these crazy days, we all have to improvise from time to time.

Also, we are all very happy to have Frankie G with us (who Matt turned us onto in the first place) and I know he is having a ball as well! Keep an eye out towards the end of November as we will have a new holiday single coming out that we were all pretty proud of! See y’all out on the road soon, be good to each other and yourselves! Are you with me?

High Praise

Joe Barron talking about his song "Rockstar" -- “This song stems from a whole lot of inspirations throughout my younger years. My first major concert was a group called Cowboy Mouth fronted by their drummer Fred Leblanc. To this day, there’s only one other entertainer comparable to him and in my opinion, that’s Garth Brooks.”

Returning To St Louis

Hey guys, Fred here. Hope everyone is doing well. Wanted to let you guys know that the band has rescheduled the date we had to cancel in St. Louis a couple of weeks back to an early show on Sunday, November 21 at the Old Rock House. Any tickets that were purchased for the show we had to cancel will be redeemable at the make up show. Also, let me say how sorry I am I wasn’t able to perform that night. I’m not sure if it was food poisoning or a stomach virus that was going around, but I was not able to function and if I’d forced myself to perform it would’ve been very messy, to say the least. Thanks so much to JTG and Buc-ee (Frankie) for covering for me and doing such a great job. We got a lot of great comments on the wonderful job they did, so thank you. Bailing on the show is not something I’ve ever done before, nor is it anything I will ever do again, God willing. I look forward to being back in St. Louis with one hell of a rock ‘n’ roll band and blowing the roof off of the Rock House! Hope to see all of you there!

Thank You TN, GA, NC

Fred: Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out to the shows this past weekend in Nashville, Atlanta, and Lake Norman, NC! A blast was had by all! The Boatyard Halloween bash was especially off the hook this year! Buc-ee the Beaver played his a$$ off! Wonderful to see everyone and glad to be playing with what I think is one hell of a rock ‘n’ roll band out on the road again! Also, be on the lookout… We have a couple of new holiday themed songs that will be released very soon! Now, onto the great state of Texas! Hope to see everyone out there as well!
