Brian's Bass

​"What kind of bass do you play?"

Brian: A Fender Jazz Bass. Bought it about 12 years ago and it is pretty much the only bass I play. I like it because the neck is skinny and it just feels right. I've tried a lot of other basses and… that's the one. It just works for me. 

It's been thrown into a ceiling fan. It's been thrown off the stage. Back in my Dash Rip Rock days, me and Bill used to do some really stupid stuff that was just wrong to do to instruments, but… I've done that a lot with my guitar. It's been brutally beaten and it hasn't let me down yet. I love it. If you look closely, you can see the scars. 

It's had quite a few beers spilled into it. It did break on me once when this girl shook up a beer and sprayed it right into the bass. But then when it dried it started working again.
